Earlier in the year I became a trustee of a major new performance festival taking place here in Bristol in July 2011.

It’s called World Stage. This July it will bring internationally renowned artists from around the world, to our city for an event that will attract visitors from across the country. Right now,World Stage is looking for corporate and community partners. I believe that it presents a unique opportunity for major, local and national businesses to be involved in a new, high profile Bristol arts business. The festival is the first of its kind in England, with an anticipated total audience in excess of 28,000. World Stage will champion the importance that the live arts’ experience has in all our lives and in particular for young and new audiences.
