Bristol - Unorthodox, Independent. Yes. We know.

I was clearing out my laptop yesterday and found this. It’s the Yellow Railroad International Destination Consultancy final report on a place making strategy for Bristol. I’ve posted it up here, and tweeted the link just in case there is anyone out there who might be interested. I like the part where they talk about ‘oozing’ (page 11). I love a good ooze. Especially a marketing and communications ooze.

I’ve no idea how much the report cost us, the taxpayer, but I do believe that the conclusions contained therein, are, like a lot of knitted brow and chin stroking strategy documents, quite obvious. Easy to say once you’ve read the report? Yes, but if you look at the second document here, which I co-wrote with my fellow directors of Double Art, you can see that we’d arrived at the same conclusions, only in half a day and at no cost to the client.
