Empty nests and firing blanks

on Feb 24 in Advertising, Double Art, Projects tagged by Peter Blackman

A couple of ads that were approved by a client, but I don’t think will ever see the light of media placement. Which is a shame really, because we rather liked them.

Although they’re about the same disease - chlamydia -  they were for two different audiences. One is for young men - the insight being that whilst they don’t necessarily want to become a father, they also don’t want to think of themselves as not being ‘potent’. The other is for women - and the potential dangers of infertility. Your guess which ad is for which audience!

Air Like Wine

Private Eye

When you’re a devoted reader of a magazine it’s always rather wonderful to have a letter published in their pages.

So I was pleasantly surprised when a letter I sent to Private Eye made it into their issue no. 1252

Tough Ten

on Feb 18 in Bristol, News, Projects tagged by Peter Blackman

Had a fantastic time on Sunday, running the Tough Ten with Ali Robertson.

Sunshine. Beach. Coastal roads then a monster hill. Twice. All of which makes the race live up to its description.

First outing for the Child Bereavement Charity running top. Getting the message out there for fundraising

In my mind I went down the hill quicker than this - looking a bit cautious here…But finished in 1 hour, 13 mins, 57 secs. Came in 212 out of a field of 1021. So pretty pleased with that.

Tradhiptional Man

I have of late, but wherefore I know not, lost all my metrosexuality.

Strong words I know. But necessary I feel if I am going to fully embrace my tradhiptional nature.
